If you want a heavy-duty, dedicated mount for the specific Edge CS and CTS Evolution devices used by serious delivery drivers, choose LycoGear Enhancd Strong Car; if you need a versatile, friction-based holder for a standard Garmin GPS unit on a dashboard, choose dosili GPS Mount.
• LycoGear Enhancd Strong Car: Its biggest strength is the engineered dual-slot adapter designed specifically for the magnetic cradles of Edge CS and CTS Evolution units, ensuring zero wobble during long hauls; its trade-off is that it is strictly limited to those specific models and cannot hold other devices. This pick is for the professional courier who needs absolute stability for a single, high-value navigation unit.
• This pick is for the driver who switches between different GPS units or prefers a simple dash setup without complex mounting hardware.
This mount is built for a very specific audience: the delivery driver running an Edge CS or CTS Evolution. The engineering here isn't about being "one size fits all"; it is about precision integration. The key feature is the dual tabs adapter, which is explicitly designed to fit the dual slots on the back of the magnetic cradle that comes with these specific Garmin devices. When you are driving through a city full of potholes or taking rough roads on a rural route, a generic clamp just won't cut it. You need a connection that mimics the device's own design to keep it perfectly still.
The dual ball joint connection is another critical element for this use case. Unlike a fixed arm, this allows you to find the best viewing position before locking it down. For a delivery driver, visibility is safety. You need to see the screen clearly without craning your neck, but you also need the mount to stay exactly where you put it. The enhanced strong suction cup base provides the foundation, but the dual-tab interface ensures the device itself doesn't rattle or shift when you hit a bump.
Who should buy this? If you rely on the Edge CS or CTS Evolution as your primary tool for work, this is the only logical choice. It offers a one-year warranty, signaling confidence in the build quality for long-term daily use. Who should skip it? If you have a Nuvi, a StreetPilot, or any other GPS model, this product will not work for you. Do not try to force it onto a different device.

In contrast, the dosili GPS Mount is designed for versatility and simplicity. It targets users who own standard Garmin GPS units, such as the Nuvi, Dezl, DriveSmart, or StreetPilot series. This means you don't need proprietary adapters or special slots on the back of your device. You simply place your GPS into the holder, and the friction grip keeps it secure against the dashboard or windshield.
The primary advantage of this design is adaptability. A driver might have a main GPS for their truck and a backup unit for their personal car, or they might switch out devices depending on the route. It adjusts to position the GPS in a variety of angles, allowing you to tilt the screen up or down to reduce glare or improve sightlines without needing to reassemble a complex bracket system.
Who should buy this? This is ideal for the driver who values a clean, uncluttered dashboard setup and owns a standard portable GPS. It works on any stable surface, giving you the freedom to place it where it is most convenient. Who should skip it? If you are using the newer Edge CS or CTS Evolution with its specific magnetic cradle system, this friction mount might not offer the same level of rigid security. The lack of a dedicated slot adapter means it relies entirely on the friction of the holder to keep the device in place, which can be less stable under extreme vibration compared to the locked-in feel of the LycoGear system.
• Best for Edge CS/CTS Evolution users → LycoGear Enhancd Strong Car: Only this mount features the dual tabs adapter required to lock directly into the device's magnetic cradle slots.
• Best for vibration resistance on rough roads → LycoGear Enhancd Strong Car: The combination of enhanced suction and a direct slot-lock prevents the device from shifting during aggressive driving.
• Best for quick installation and removal → dosili GPS Mount: Friction mounts allow you to snap the device in and out instantly without fiddling with screw-on adapters or alignment tabs.
• Best for specific viewing angles → LycoGear Enhancd Strong Car: The dual ball socket connection allows for precise positioning tailored to the specific height of the Edge series screens.
• Best for general dashboard placement → dosili GPS Mount: Designed to sit securely on any stable surface without requiring the complex alignment of a specialized vehicle mount.
• Best warranty coverage → LycoGear Enhancd Strong Car: Includes a one-year warranty, providing peace of mind for daily commercial use.
• Best value for general drivers → dosili GPS Mount: Offers broad utility for anyone with a standard portable GPS without the cost of specialized proprietary parts.
For the specific use case of a delivery driver relying on an Edge CS or CTS Evolution, I would buy the LycoGear Enhancd Strong Car without hesitation. The dual-tab adapter creates a mechanical lock that a friction mount simply cannot match, which is essential for the durability required in a professional setting. However, if your fleet uses standard Nuvi or Dezl units, I would recommend the dosili GPS Mount for its ease of use and universal fit. The decision ultimately hinges on whether your device requires a custom interface or can be satisfied by a standard friction grip.
No, the LycoGear Enhancd Strong Car is designed exclusively for the Edge CS and CTS Evolution models due to its specific dual-tab adapter. It will not fit standard Nuvi or DriveSmart units.
Based on the design specifications, the LycoGear Enhancd Strong Car offers superior security for its target devices because it locks directly into the device's built-in slots, whereas the dosili mount relies on friction which can loosen over time.
Yes, both mounts feature adjustable mechanisms. The LycoGear uses a dual ball joint for precise positioning, while the dosili uses a standard ball adapter to tilt the device into various angles on the dashboard.
