For my first quarter project for Engineering 3, I designed a rear wing completely from scratch, ensuring the size, angle, weight, and custom mounts would all fit for my car. This design process was the most intensive part of this project and took consistent effort over the course of around a month. I then routed the spoiler, wings, and mounts on our Tormach 24R Router, out of 6061, 0.25" thick aluminum sheet metal. I cleaned my parts and assembled my wing with aluminum spacers and 80-20 90 degree brackets. I have yet to mount it to my car, as I need to drill holes in my roof and am searching for a better mounting strategy.
