Lux Expense ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled when you use the Lux Expense mobile application (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Lux Expense is designed from the ground up as a "privacy-first" application. We do not collect, transmit, store, or have access to any of your personal or financial data. All data you enter into the App—including transactions, categories, and settings—is stored locally on your device using a highly secure, encrypted database.
To protect your financial information, the App uses robust, industry-standard encryption. The encryption keys are generated locally and securely stored within your device's native secure keystore (Android Keystore). We do not possess or transmit these keys.
The App allows you to secure your vault using a Master PIN and Biometric Authentication (such as Fingerprint or Face Recognition).
Master PIN: Stored locally and securely on your device. We cannot recover your PIN if you lose it.
Biometrics: The App utilizes your device's native biometric hardware and APIs. We never access, read, or store your actual fingerprint or facial recognition data.
The App includes a feature allowing you to export your financial data as a PDF document.
These PDF reports are generated entirely offline on your device.
When you save a PDF, the App requests temporary access to your device's local storage solely to write the file to your chosen directory.
We do not monitor, read, upload, or share these files.
No Analytics or Trackers: We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or advertising networks that track your behavior.
No Cloud Sync: The App intentionally omits cloud backup features to ensure your data never leaves your device. It is your responsibility to manually export your data via the PDF feature if you wish to back it up.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our App's features or regulatory requirements. Because the App is offline, we recommend reviewing this policy periodically on our official Play Store listing.
