Freshwater Ecology, Salmonid Ecology, and

Applied Conservation Science

Dr. Lusardi is an Assistant Professor in Wildlife, Fish, & Conservation Biology at the University of California, Davis and is an Associate Director at the Center for Watershed Sciences.  His research program focuses on the ecology of salmonids and other native fishes and the physical and biological processes that support them at multiple spatial and temporal scales.  Dr. Lusardi and his group are particularly interested in climate resilient habitats that may benefit aquatic species within the context of global change.  He works closely with landowners, tribes, federal and state agencies, non-profits, and others on science based solutions to difficult problems that, ultimately, promote the conservation of aquatic species.
