I study high-temperature superconductors and their applications. In particular, I often think about how we can make the most of the current HTS materials to realize compact fusion reactors, in the presence of room-temperature superconductors, that are nonetheless useful and crucial for human beings.
I started my research associate contract on 29/07/2024, working on the EPSRC project: Towards compact and efficient nuclear reactors.

The new EPSRC project has been launched!
This is the first 3D HTS dynamo flux pump model in COMSOL. This enables us to change any parameters of a dynamo to compare the performances. The model can be easily modified to be applied to dynamos with any shapes and parameters.
Is encapsulating the HTS Roebel cable into a single tape a fantasy or not? We will see! The pre-called "HTS Roebel tape" has been renamed as PSALM! Please check the publication collection below for details.
