Luneya Privacy Policy

Your privacy, in plain language.
Luneya is a wellness journal and study companion built for students. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
What stays on your device
Your name, mood check-ins, stress logs, journal entries, planner tasks, events, and focus/study session history are stored locally on your device. They are not sent to our servers as part of these features.
You can delete locally stored information by removing the applicable data within the app where available or by removing the app from your device.
AI and server processing
When you use features that require AI or server processing, such as the AI Companion or Weekly Recap, information you choose to submit for that feature may be sent to our backend so the requested feature can work.
AI requests may be processed using third-party AI services, including Anthropic's Claude through the Emergent integration platform.
An anonymous session identifier may be used so the AI can maintain the context of the current conversation. It is not intended to identify you by your name, email address, phone number, or Apple ID.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
Information we do not require
Luneya does not require users to create an account with an email address or password to use the app.
Wellness information
Luneya is designed for general wellness, organization, and productivity. It does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment, therapy, or emergency services.
Third-party services
Certain features may rely on third-party service providers. Information submitted to those features may be processed by those providers as necessary to provide the requested functionality.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if Luneya's features or data practices change. Any updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
