Privacy Policy

1. OVERVIEW

Luné is an AI companion app. It lets you chat, exchange voice notes and photos, and make voice and face calls with an AI character ("Sofia"). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices.  By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. AGE REQUIREMENT

The App is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at luneapp.support@gmail.com and we will delete it. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use the App only with permission from a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

3.1 Account Information

Email address and authentication credentials (managed by our backend provider,   Supabase).

3.2 Profile Information

Your name or nickname.

3.3 Content you Create and Exchange in the App

• Text messages you send and receive

• Voice call transcripts and audio recordings

• Face call transcripts.

• AI-generated images and voice notes delivered to you

3.4 Device and Usage Information

• Microphone audio during voice and face calls

• App usage and diagnostic data, feature-usage counters, and rate-limiting records

• Purchase and entitlement records

We do not capture or transmit camera/video from your device

4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

• To provide the App's core features: chat, voice notes, images, and voice/face calls

• To give the experience continuity and "memory" so the companion feels consistent over time

• To process and deliver in-app purchases and manage your balance and entitlements

• To maintain safety, prevent abuse, enforce usage limits, and moderate content

• To operate, debug, and improve the App. To comply with legal obligations. 

5. AI PROCESSING AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

To provide its features, the App sends certain data to third-party service providers ("processors") that act on our behalf. Your text messages, call audio and transcripts, and related content are shared with third-party AI providers to generate responses, voices, images, and to screen content for safety. These providers process your data only to perform services for us, under contractual obligations and their own privacy policies, and are required to provide a level of data protection equivalent to that described in this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review their policies. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.

6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App.  You can delete your account at any time from within the App. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, conversations, messages, calls and recordings, memory data, and related records from our database. Some records may persist briefly in backups or be retained where required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes, after which they are deleted.

7. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and database-level access controls that restrict each user's data to that user. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:  

• Access the personal information we hold about you

• Correct or update inaccurate information

• Delete your information

• Object to or restrict certain processing

• Request a copy of your information in a portable format

• To exercise these rights, contact us at luneapp.support@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

We and our providers may process and store your information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
