As highly requested, here is how to run the iQue Wii firmware and channels on other Wii consoles or Dolphin.
It has only been tested on PAL, Japanese and American Wii consoles. Do not try this on a Wii U. Korean Wii consoles may work (NOT SURE, NOT TESTED!) but only try it if you know what you're doing.
If you are going to do this on a physical NAND and not Dolphin or neek, please use a Wii that has BootMii installed as boot2. Since homebrew apps don't expect a Chinese menu, ANYTHING could end up bricking it.
Instructions
If you're using a physical NAND and not neek, make a restore point on BootMii (a NAND dump) so that you can return to how your Wii is at the moment if you ever wish to.
Obtain the Chinese wads from my repository (inside the iQue Wii Channels folder). You can also obtain the ones from the original leak, fix them, extract them and convert them to RVL, but it is much harder.
Also obtain the Photo Channel 1.0 stub, or the Photo Channel will not appear on the menu. You can find it on MarioCube as "Photo Channel v1.0 (World) (v65280) (Channel).wad"
Put all the wads somewhere on your SD/USB.
Get WiiMod Lite if you don't have it already, and copy the "apps" folder to the root: https://github.com/RiiConnect24/Wii-Mod-Lite/releases/download/v1.7/WiiModLite_v1.7.zip
Get WiiXplorer if you don't have it already, and copy the "apps" folder to the root: https://hbb1.oscwii.org/hbb/wiixplorer/wiixplorer.zip
Put the SD/USB back inside your Wii, and open WiiMod Lite.
Go to "Any Title Manager | Region Changer" and then "Region Changer".
Change the following settings:
Language Setting: S. Chinese
Console Video Mode: NTSC
Shop Country Code: 160
Verify that it is correct and select "Save Settings". Be careful not to go to the Wii Menu from this point on until you finish because it (likely) won't boot.
Press B to go back, and go to "Any Title Manager". Delete any titles you no longer wish to have (for example channels of the region you're changing from.) Make sure you don't delete the Homebrew Channel.
Go back to the WiiMod Lite main menu, and now go to "WAD Manager".
Find the Chinese wads (and the Photo Channel stub) and install all of them.
When it's finished, you can finally press HOME. Be careful not to go back to the Wii Menu! (If you are using neek, you may find that exiting WiiMod Lite freezes the console. This is not an issue, because you can do the following steps directly on the files of the NAND of your SD/USB.)
Now run WiiXplorer.
On the top, select "nand".
Go to the folder called "title", then "00000001", then "00000002", then "data". Extract the file called "setting.txt" to your SD/USB.
Go back to the Homebrew Channel, and take your SD/USB out. Again, be careful not to go to the Wii Menu.
Put your SD/USB back inside your PC, and download and run this modified version of SettingEdit (it doesn't matter if you already have it, you need this specific modified version) (thanks to Shoko for making this modification): https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/750623609810190348/871504726603206706/SettingEdit.exe
Click Open, and select the setting.txt you just extracted.
Use the following settings:
Area: CHN
Video: NTSC
Game: CN
...then press Save. If asked to encrypt, select Yes. This will create a new setting.txt, we're going to replace the one on your Wii with this new one, so put it in your SD/USB.
Put your SD/USB back in your Wii, and run WiiXplorer once again.
Go inside the WiiXplorer settings, and look through them until you find some option that says "NAND write access", then enable it.
Find the new Chinese setting.txt from your SD/USB, and copy it.
Go to the folder called "title", then "00000001", then "00000002", then "data". Delete the old setting.txt and paste this new one. Make sure it's called "setting.txt".
Once that all of this is done, it SHOULD be safe to go back to the Wii Menu.
The iQue health & safety screen should pop up and you should have an iQue Wii Menu.
Now, do not install Priiloader. It'll brick it. Ironic, I know. It is very easy to brick it from here, because homebrew apps are not expecting Chinese stuff, so be careful.
That's it. Hope this helped!
