Lumora is a private study planner and learning journal designed to help users organize subjects, study goals, sessions, focus time, learning content, reflections, and progress reports.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Lumora collects, how it is used, and what choices users have.
If you create an account or sign in, Lumora may collect your email address and Firebase user identifier. If you use Cloud Guest, Firebase may create an anonymous user identifier so your study data can sync privately.
Lumora stores the study information you create in the app, including subjects, goals, deadlines, calendar sessions, focus session summaries, learning journal entries, review content, progress data, and app settings.
You may choose to add a display name and local avatar. Avatar images are selected from your device and stored locally in the app’s private storage. Lumora does not upload your local avatar image unless a future version clearly states otherwise.
Lumora may request access to your photo library so you can choose a local profile avatar. Lumora may also request notification permission to send study reminders. These permissions are optional and can be managed in your device settings.
Lumora can generate PDF progress reports. Reports are created on your device and are shared only when you choose to use the share feature.
Lumora uses your information to:
- Create and manage your private study workspace.
- Sync your subjects, plans, sessions, journals, learning content, and settings with your Firebase account.
- Show study analytics, deadline status, focus summaries, and progress reports.
- Send optional study reminders.
- Improve reliability, restore your data, and keep your experience consistent across sessions.
Lumora stores study data locally on your device for offline access. If cloud sync is enabled through Firebase, your study data is also stored in Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore.
Lumora does not sell your personal information. Lumora does not publish your study content to a public feed. Your user-created content is private to your account unless you choose to export or share it yourself.
Lumora uses Firebase services provided by Google to support authentication and cloud data storage. Firebase may process data according to Google’s Firebase and Google Cloud policies.
Lumora is intended as a general education and productivity tool. It is not directed specifically to children under 13 and should not be submitted under the App Store Kids Category unless additional child privacy requirements are completed.
Users should be able to request or initiate account deletion from inside the app. When an account is deleted, Lumora should delete the Firebase Authentication account and associated cloud study data where technically possible. Local app data may also be cleared from the device.
Important: before publishing this policy, make sure the app includes an in-app account deletion flow or a clearly accessible account deletion request process.
- Use Cloud Guest if anonymous sign-in is enabled.
- Edit your profile name and local avatar.
- Delete individual subjects, goals, sessions, journals, and learning content.
- Disable notifications in iOS Settings.
- Export or share reports only when you choose.
- Request account deletion using the in-app deletion option or support contact.
Lumora uses Firebase services and local device storage to help keep user data private. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but reasonable steps are taken to protect user study data.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If changes are made, the updated policy will be posted with a new effective date.
