Lumin Industries ("we", "us", or "our") built Lumin Chess (the "App"), a free sliding-puzzle game available on Android and iOS. This policy explains what data the App handles and why. It is provided at no cost and is intended for use as is.
Summary
Lumin Chess runs entirely on your device. It has one optional online feature a global leaderboard. Unless you choose to post a score to that leaderboard, the App sends us nothing. There are no accounts, no ads, and no third-party analytics or tracking.
Information We Collect
On your device (never sent to us): your progress, best scores, settings, and tutorial state are stored locally on your device and stay there.
The optional leaderboard: when you solve a level and earn a qualifying score, the App may show an "On the board!" prompt. If and only if you enter a display name, pick an emoji, and tap Save (rather than Skip), the App sends the following to our server at 100fold.ai: the display name you typed (a self-chosen handle, up to 20 characters it need not be your real name); the emoji you picked; your score for that level (number of moves and solve time); and which level it was.
That information is then shown publicly on the in-app leaderboard to other players. We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, camera, microphone, advertising identifier, or any device identifier. We do not require you to create an account.
Server Logs
Like any internet service, our server may automatically receive and briefly record technical request information (such as your IP address) for security and reliable operation. We do not use this information to identify you, build a profile, or track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell it.
Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking
The App contains no advertising, integrates no advertising or analytics SDKs, uses no cookies, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
How We Use the Information
The display name, emoji, and score you choose to submit are used solely to operate and display the leaderboard. We do not use them for any other purpose.
Data Retention and Deletion
Leaderboard entries you submit are stored so they can be displayed. Because there are no user accounts, there is no per-user record to delete. If you want a leaderboard entry you submitted removed, email us (below) with the level and the display name, and we will delete that entry.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The only information the App can transmit is the optional, self-chosen leaderboard handle, emoji, and score described above.
Third-Party Links
The App does not contain third-party advertising links. If a future version links to an external site, that site's own privacy policy would apply; we have no control over third-party sites.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
