Lumen ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Horizon mobile application (the "App"). To provide and improve our astrological services, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The types of information we collect include:
Profile Data: Email Address (used for account management and authentication).
Astrological Data: Your Date of Birth, Time of Birth, and Place of Birth. This data is strictly required to calculate your personalized Vedic astrology charts (D-charts), daily insights, and timeline features.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore). We value your trust in providing us with your Personal Information, and all data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.
Firebase & Google Analytics: We use Firebase Authentication for logins, Cloud Firestore for database storage, and Firebase Crashlytics/Analytics to monitor app stability and performance.
Advertising: We use third-party advertising networks to display ads within the App. These networks may use device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized advertisements. Users have the option to purchase a premium subscription via Google Play Billing to remove these ads.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your astrological and profile data to maintain your account and ensure you do not have to re-enter your birth details upon each login. Requesting Data Deletion: You have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and all associated data. To do so, please send an email to lumenappdev@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your account. We will process and delete your data within 60 days.
