Each Monday, Becky leads a hike at SA City Park at 4:00pm. We hike for about 45 minutes or so. The focus is on nature and taking an interest in God's amazing world. Becky is an amazing resource, because she can identify wildflowers, trees, birds, and about any critter you'll see. Come check it out!

Sunday, August 31st is Lakeview's turn to host the St. Albans Methodist Churches in a community service and luncheon. We're working on ideas for where everyone is going to park, etc. Our current plan is to provide BBQ sandwiches & some chicken and have the other churches bring the side dishes and desserts. It will take all of us to successfully host this large group. Be sure to note that Sunday on your calendar so we can be gracious hosts to all our Methodist friends.
Welcome Pastor Sheila! As she gets settled in, she will post her office hours on a dry erase board on her office door. Stop by and say, hello!

Finance and parsonage committees met to discuss future repairs on the parsonage. Three major repairs will be needed soon: 1. roof ($8,300 estimate), 2. windows ($9,400 est.) and 3. door ($6,431). This can be revisited as needed. After a discussion, a motion was made to start this in July. (Kent/Kathi). Sheila, Karen and Martha will explore UMC grant options, specifically the Humphreys Fund. A second estimate on the roof is also planned.
