Lakeview Administrative Council Minutes October 11, 2022

Opening

The meeting was called to order with prayer at 7:05 p.m. by Bud Newbrough.

Present: Bud Newbrough, Dick & Linda Thompson, Marilyn Morton, Wayne Kersey, Jeff Ekstrom, Deborah Rowe

Absent: Pastor Kerry

Minutes - Deborah Rowe The minutes from the September meeting were reviewed and accepted.(Wayne/Linda)

Treasurer’s Report - Jeff Ekstrom

The general fund is getting low. It is currently $5,975.93. $8,812 is due from Humphrey’s UMC. Motion was made to accept the Treasurer’s report for September and was unanimously approved. (Wayne/Marilyn)

Parsonage - Marilyn Morton

• She and Don finished painting the doors at the Parsonage.

• There will be coffee and conversation at the Church on Tuesdays at 8:30 a.m.

• There will be a Women’s Tea immediately after Church on Sunday, October 23.

Nurture - Linda Thompson

• There was a nice dinner of lasagna and salad for the family of Carol Lee Fry, immediately after the memorial service. 36 meals were served.

• Linda continues to work on the Thanksgiving dinner. Please tell Linda by October 17 if you plan to attend. This dinner will not be open to the community.

Trustees - Dicky Thompson

• $7,096.25 was spent to replace the narthex roof. There was a small leak and it was 21 years old.

• Chris continues to do a terrific job on the lawn. The recently pruned shrubs look very nice.

• Everything is running good.

• Dicky is going to ask Don to get the church blueprints out of the closet. He said it is good to have for maintenance reasons.

PS/PRC - Wayne Kersey

• There was a SPRC meeting on September 14 where staff salaries were discussed. There will be no staff increases for 2023. Christmas gifts for the staff were also discussed.

• Charge Conference is scheduled for October 15, at 2:00 at St. Andrews.
