Luma Learn ("we", "our", or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and protected when you use the Luma Learn mobile application.

## 1. Information We Collect

Luma Learn may collect the following information:

- Account information: email address and authentication details used to sign in with Firebase Authentication.

- Profile information: display name, avatar selection, and optional bio that you add inside the app.

- Learning progress: completed lessons, saved words, weak words, streaks, XP, achievements, notification preferences, and other in-app progress data.

- Device and notification data: push notification token and notification settings used to send learning reminders and lesson updates.

- Basic technical data: crash or diagnostic information provided by platform or Firebase services, if enabled by those services.

## 2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

- create and manage your account;

- sync your learning progress across sessions and devices;

- personalize your learning experience;

- send optional reminders, achievement alerts, and lesson notifications;

- improve app quality, reliability, and security;

- respond to support or legal requests when required.

## 3. Data Storage and Services

Luma Learn uses third-party services to operate core app features:

- Firebase Authentication for account sign-in and account management;

- Cloud Firestore for storing account-linked learning progress and lesson-related cloud data;

- Firebase Cloud Messaging for optional push notifications.

Some data may also be stored locally on your device to support app performance, cached content, and offline use.

## 4. Notifications

Notifications are optional. If you allow notifications, Luma Learn may send:

- daily learning reminders;

- lesson or study tips;

- achievement or progress updates.

You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings or inside the app where supported.

## 5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We only share data with service providers needed to operate the app, such as Firebase services used for authentication, cloud storage, and notifications. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security.

## 6. Data Retention

We keep your account and progress data only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.

If you delete your account, we will remove associated account data from the app's supported backend systems within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.

## 7. Your Choices

You may:

- update your profile information inside the app;

- disable notifications;

- sign out of your account;

- request deletion by using the in-app Delete Account feature.

## 8. Children's Privacy

Luma Learn is intended for general audiences and is not knowingly designed to collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

## 9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

## 10. International Use

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, depending on the infrastructure of our service providers. By using the app, you understand that your information may be transferred and processed accordingly.
