Effective date: July 3, 2026
Luma Player is a local music player for Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and what may change if advertising is added in the future.
Luma Player is designed for local music playback. The app does not require an account and does not operate a cloud music library. Most data used by the app stays on your device.
The app may access local audio files, playback state, favorites, recent playback history, audio style preferences, notification controls, and lyrics data. If online lyrics are searched, song metadata may be sent to a third-party lyrics service to find matching lyrics.
Luma Player requests access to audio files stored on your device so it can display and play your local music library.
This may include:
Song title
Artist name
Album name
Duration
File path
Album artwork when available
This information is used to show your library, play songs, display the now playing screen, build the play queue, and show playback history.
Luma Player may store app preferences and playback data locally on your device, including:
Last played song
Playback progress
Recent playback history
Favorite songs
Current audio style setting
Cached lyrics
Sort and library preferences
This data is used to provide app features. It is not used to identify you.
Luma Player supports local .lrc lyrics files stored beside audio files.
If local lyrics are not available, the app may search for lyrics online. To do this, the app may send song metadata such as song title, artist name, and duration to a third-party lyrics service. The app currently uses LRCLIB for lyrics search.
Lyrics results may be cached locally on your device so the app can load them faster later.
Luma Player may request notification permission so it can show playback controls while music is playing. Notifications are used for media playback controls such as play, pause, next, previous, and close.
Luma Player may use Android audio processing features to apply selected audio styles such as Balanced, Bass boost, Vocal focus, or Bright.
In the current version, Luma Player does not require:
User account registration
Name
Email address
Phone number
Contacts
Location
Photos or videos unrelated to audio playback
Payment information
Health information
The current version does not include an advertising SDK.
The current version of Luma Player does not include ads.
If ads are added in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data Safety disclosure must be updated before release. Advertising partners may collect or receive information such as:
Advertising ID or other device identifiers
Approximate location inferred by ad networks
App interactions
Ad views and ad clicks
Device information
Diagnostics and crash data
If advertising is added, Luma Player will disclose the ad provider, the types of data collected or shared, and the purposes of collection or sharing.
Luma Player does not sell personal information.
The app may share limited song metadata with a lyrics provider when online lyrics search is used. This is done only to search for lyrics.
If ads are added later, data may be shared with advertising partners as described in the updated policy.
Most app data is stored locally on your device and remains there until you clear app data, uninstall the app, or remove files manually.
Cached lyrics, favorites, playback history, and preferences may remain on your device until deleted through app data clearing or uninstalling the app.
Android system backup may back up some app data depending on your device settings and Android backup configuration.
Luma Player uses standard Android platform storage and permission controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but the app is designed to limit data use to local playback features and lyrics search.
Luma Player is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You can:
Deny audio permission, although the app will not be able to display local songs.
Deny notification permission, although playback notification controls may not appear.
Remove local audio files from your device.
Delete app data from Android system settings.
Uninstall the app.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when app features change, especially if advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or other third-party SDKs are added.
The effective date at the top of this policy will be updated when changes are made.
