Lullaby AI ("we," "our," or "us") is a mobile companion app for parents of newborns. It helps you track your baby's feeding, sleep, diaper changes, and weight, and uses on-device AI to help identify the possible cause of your baby's cries.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can control your data. By using Lullaby AI, you agree to this policy.

When you create an account, we collect:
Email address (if you register with email/password)
Name and email linked to your Apple ID (if you use Sign in with Apple)
Name, email, and profile photo associated with your Google account (if you use Google Sign-In)
A unique user identifier assigned by Firebase Authentication
For each baby profile you create, we collect:
Baby's first name
Date of birth
Gender
Birth weight
Feeding type (breastfed, bottle, or mixed)
Profile photo (optional, uploaded by you)
We store the baby care events you record:
Breastfeeding
Side (left/right), duration, notes
Bottle feeding
Amount (ml/oz), duration, notes
Sleep
Start time, duration, notes
Diaper change
Type, notes
Weight measurement
Weight, notes
Medication
Free-text notes
Bath
Timestamp, notes
Solid food

All events include a timestamp and are linked to a specific baby profile.
When you use the cry analysis feature, we process and store:
Audio recording: A short WAV audio file recorded via your device microphone (16 kHz, mono, 16-bit PCM)
On-device AI prediction: The likely cry cause (e.g., hungry, tired, discomfort) and a confidence score — computed entirely on your device using our embedded DeepInfant V2 model
Contextual data: Timestamps of the baby's last feeding and last sleep at the time of analysis
Intensity score: A 1–10 scale you set
Your feedback: Whether you agreed with the AI prediction and, if not, the cause you selected
The audio file is uploaded to secure cloud storage after on-device analysis. You can delete individual cry records at any time from within the app.
Conversations with Luna, our AI assistant, are stored only on your device in a local database. They are never sent to our servers or stored in the cloud. When you delete the app or clear app data, this history is permanently erased.
To generate a response, each message you send does transmit to our AI provider (see Section 4.3). We do not retain these messages on our own servers.
We track limited usage data to enforce free-tier quotas and provide premium features:

Total lifetime baby care events logged
This data is linked to your account and stored securely.
Firebase, our backend platform, may automatically collect standard device information such as device model, operating system version, crash logs, and app performance data. We use this to keep the app stable and improve performance.
We use the information we collect to:
Create and maintain your account
Sync your baby data across your devices
Perform and store cry analysis results
Provide personalized responses from the Luna AI assistant (your baby's age, feeding type, and recent event times are included in AI prompts)
Generate daily summaries and weekly insights (premium feature)
Enforce free-tier quotas and grant premium access via subscription
Send push notifications (with your permission) for reminders or re-engagement
Diagnose crashes and improve app stability
Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to data brokers, or use it to build advertising profiles.
Cry analysis is performed entirely on your device using Apple's Core ML framework and our embedded DeepInfant V2 model. Your audio is not sent to any remote AI service for classification. The audio file is uploaded to Firebase Storage only for your own reference and history — not for cloud-based analysis.
Chat history with Luna is stored only on your device and is never synced to our servers.

Firebase data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest (Google-managed encryption). Firestore offline persistence is enabled, meaning your data may be cached locally on your device for use without an internet connection.

If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, those providers authenticate you and share a limited profile (name, email) with us. We do not receive your Apple or Google passwords.

When you send a message to Luna, we forward the following to OpenRouter (our AI routing provider), which routes the request to Google Gemini:
Your conversation messages (current session only)
Baby context: name, age in weeks, feeding type, and time of last feeding and sleep
We do not send the baby's full name, birth date, photos, or cry audio to OpenRouter. No conversation history is stored on OpenRouter's servers beyond the scope of your request.

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat receives:
Your Firebase UID (anonymous identifier)
Subscription purchase records from the App Store
RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, baby data, or cry recordings.

All subscription payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card information.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as described in Section 4 (with our infrastructure and service providers) and in the following circumstances:
Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or government authority
Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public
Business transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity under the same privacy commitments
Lullaby AI is intended for use by parents and caregivers — adults who are 18 years of age or older. We collect information about babies (names, birth dates, feeding patterns) on behalf of their parents, but we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
If you believe a child has created an account independently without parental consent, please contact us at yerkebulan.personal@gmail.com and we will delete that account promptly.
Account and baby data: Retained as long as your account is active.
Care event logs: Retained until you delete them or delete your account.
Cry recordings: Retained in Firebase Storage until you delete the cry record or your account.
Usage quotas: Reset daily; lifetime counters are retained while your account is active.
Chat history (local): Stored on your device only; deleted when you delete the app or clear app data.
When you delete your account (available in Settings → Account → Delete Account), we permanently and irreversibly delete:
Your Firebase Authentication record
All Firestore data under your account (all babies, events, cry records, usage data)
All files in Firebase Storage associated with your account (photos, audio recordings)
This process is initiated immediately and completes within a short period. Deletion cannot be undone.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
Firebase data is encrypted at rest using Google-managed encryption keys
Firestore Security Rules restrict access so that users can only read and write their own data
Cry audio analysis occurs on-device; raw audio is not sent to external AI services
Subscription management uses anonymous identifiers, not personal details
No system is perfectly secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
Access: Request a summary of the personal data we hold about you
Correction: Update your account information or baby profiles directly in the app
Deletion: Delete individual events, cry records, baby profiles, or your entire account from within the app
Portability: Request an export of your data by contacting us
Opt-out of analytics: Disable analytics via your device settings

You can enable or disable push notifications at any time through your device's notification settings.
Microphone permission is requested only when you use the cry analysis feature. You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device Settings → Privacy → Microphone.
Lullaby AI is operated from Kazakhstan. Your data is stored and processed on Google Firebase infrastructure, which may be located in the United States or other countries. By using our app, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
