Baby Heartbeat Monitor - Lulla (Android)
Effective date: September 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Android app Baby Heartbeat Monitor - Lulla ("Lulla", "the app"), published on Google Play by Gkmax ("we", "us"), handles your information.
In short: Lulla does not collect your personal data. Everything you enter or record stays on your device. We have no servers that receive your information, no accounts, no ads and no analytics.
1. Information you enter in the app
To personalise the app you can enter:
your first name and your baby's name
your pregnancy week and estimated due date, and how your pregnancy was confirmed (doctor or home test)
a note for each heartbeat recording
kick counter sessions (date, duration and number of kicks)
your birth plan choices and notes
This information is stored only in the app's private storage on your device. We cannot see it. Contraction timer entries are kept only while the Contractions Timer screen is open and are not saved.
2. Microphone and heartbeat recordings
Lulla asks for access to your microphone so you can listen to and record your baby's heartbeat. The microphone is used only while you are on the recording screen during a listening session — never in the background.
Audio is processed entirely on your device (sound level meter, rhythm estimate, noise reduction and playback enhancement). Recordings are saved as audio files in the app's private storage on your device and are never uploaded to us or to any server.
You can refuse or revoke microphone access at any time in Android Settings. The other features keep working without it.
3. Sharing that you choose
When you tap Share on a recording, Lulla creates an audio file of that recording on your device and hands it to the app you pick in the Android share sheet (for example, a messaging or email app). What happens next is governed by that app's privacy policy. We never receive a copy.
4. Internet access
The app connects to the internet for one purpose: to download the display text of its welcome screens from a public configuration file hosted on GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com). This request contains no personal information, no identifiers and nothing you entered in the app. As with any website, GitHub receives your device's IP address in order to deliver the file, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement. If the download fails, the app uses built-in text.
5. Google Play
Ratings: Lulla may ask Google Play to show its in-app rating dialog. The dialog is provided by Google Play; any rating or review you leave is handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. We only see reviews that are published on Google Play.
Downloads and diagnostics: Google Play provides developers with aggregated statistics and, if you have agreed to share usage and diagnostics with Google, anonymous crash reports. This data is collected by Google, not by the app.
6. Device backups
If Android backup is turned on for your device, Android may include Lulla's data (your details, recordings and notes) in your device backup to your Google Account, under Google's terms. Temporary files created for sharing are excluded. You control backups in Android Settings.
7. What we do not do
no account or sign-in
no advertising and no advertising ID
no analytics, tracking or profiling
no access to your location, contacts, photos, camera or other files
no sale or sharing of personal data with anyone
8. Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual recordings in the Memories tab (this also deletes any shared copy the app created), and you can remove all app data at any time by clearing the app's storage (Settings › Apps › Lulla › Storage › Clear storage) or by uninstalling the app. Because we never receive your data, we have nothing to delete on our side.
9. Children
Lulla is intended for adults — expecting parents — and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Security
Your information is kept in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot access on a standard Android device. We recommend protecting your device with a screen lock.
11. Not a medical device
Lulla is made for memories and emotional bonding. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or fetal heart monitoring. Always contact a qualified healthcare professional with any concern about your pregnancy or your baby.
12. Changes to this policy
If we add features that change how information is handled — for example, in-app purchases — we will update this policy and its effective date before those features are released.
