I joined this project to craft one specific feature: the minimap pictured below. At the time, I was focused on classwork and other personal projects. This did not by any means discount my investment in this project and team, I simply put forth my best effort in a smaller capacity.
Programming this minimap is one of the most unique and informative experiences in-engine I've ever had. Before making this minimap, I had no idea that a live feed of what a camera sees could be converted into a texture.
The aforementioned texture is the entire reason that this map works. The texture is tied to a camera far above the player character, and the red marking icon is also above (but invisible to) the player.
