Lukai Yang

In 2021, I earned my PhD in Finance from the University of Alabama and I currently hold the position of Assistant Professor of Finance at Texas A&M International University. I have experience in teaching a variety of courses across multiple disciplines, including PhD Seminars in Financial Markets and Institutions, Financial Management (MBA), Risk Management, Commercial Bank Management, Financial Markets and Institutions, Money and Capital Markets, Principle of Macroeconomics, and Managerial Economics. I have been advising PhD students and have served as a committee member or chair for their dissertations. I am enthusiastic about working with students, and I strive to instill a passion for lifelong learning in my students as I share my enthusiasm for learning with them. My research areas include but are not limited to institutional investors, ESG, gender diversity, insider trading, shareholder activism, REITs, religiosity, and working capital management. Aside from my academic life, I am a proud parent of three children. I also enjoy hiking and traveling.Â
