One Movement - Series II

One Movement is a collection of paintings on paper, divided into two series. In both series, Trindade investigates the primordial energy contained within a single gesture. A stroke that arises spontaneously, without figurative intent, where each brushstroke becomes a direct reflection of the relationship between the body and the material.

The technique employed, using a rubber spatula, highlights the unique behavior of acrylic paint in contact with different types of paper. On some surfaces, it is deeply absorbed, resulting in intense and profound colors. On others, the texture and impermeability of the paper are revealed, creating a retention and dispersion effect that lends a distinct plasticity to each chromatic "spill".

Series II:

In Series II, the creative process advances to a new level by introducing new layers of complexity through the addition of pastel and the subsequent fragmentation and recomposition of the works. In addition to acrylic, the author uses dry pastel over the already stabilized acrylic emulsion. Subsequently, the paintings are cut into various pieces – giving rise to a second creative act through the combination of distinct parts of the original piece. The connection between lines and colors gains relevance, creating compositions that dialogue with each other, expanding the unpredictability and the expressive dimension of the work.
