Probably one of the favorite pieces of my collection, some CW4Kids from Summer 2008! For those who don't know, the Summer 2008 era of CW4Kids is incredibly rare.. to the point of there being only one existing tape or recording of it. At least, a confirmed tape or recording; someone who I'll keep private has said that they have a DVD of the entire 1st day of CW4Kids, and they're a fairly reputable source. They didn't send me it at the time due to disk space limitations, but I do plan on talking to him again soon.
But yeah, this era is quite the rarity. It's pretty unique too, as this era of CW4Kids acts as a transitional period between Kids WB's shutdown and the proper rebrand starting on September 13th. It reuses the final style of Kids WB bumpers, those being the comic book bumpers, and also has new comic book bumpers of it's own (seen above), specifically for TMNT: Fast Forward and Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. Some of the up next bumpers are also originals created for CW4Kids. (Chaotic bumpers likely also exist, but this tape cuts after where they would air, sadly)
Personally, I quite enjoy the look, and some of the shows here are taken straight from Kids WB, such as Spidey and The Batman. The Spectacular Spider-Man is probably my favorite animate incarnation of the series, and The Batman is something I enjoy fairly similarly, although I haven't seen as much of it. Fun fact, this tape showcases some of the last times that The Batman likely aired on TV; as far as I'm aware, it was taken off CN's schedule by now and reruns stopped on Kids WB by March 2008. For some reason, 4Kids decided to rerun The Batman from 06/21/2008 - 08/02/2008, with August's airing being the final time it was aired, period. Overall, this tape is one of the best I've found, and I'm happy I've been able to share it.
