Ecology and Evolution of Marine Ciliates and other Microbial Plankton

Most life is microbial, yet we know only a small fraction of the vast diversity and functions of microorganisms in the biosphere. With more than one billion years of history on our planet, marine ciliates  offer us a variety of shapes, genomic features, metabolisms and more to explore. We combine field, laboratory and bioinformatic analyses to answer questions about Ciliate Biodiversity and Microbial Plankton under Current Environmental Changes.
