I am Associate Professor of Economics at the Department of Political Science of the University of Perugia (Italy) and Research Fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) . I am also member of the program committee for the the PhD in Development Economics and Local Systems of the University of Florence and University of Trento. I obtained my PhD in Economics from the University of Florence and then was Post-Doc Researcher at the Paris School of Economics (France) and Associate Professor at the Department of Economics of the University of The Balearic Islands (Spain).
I am an applied economist with research interests in labor, household, education and health. My research develops in the following main lines:
the study of the impact of parental behaviors on child development
the impact of children's time use and extra-curricula activities on human capital accumulation
intergenerational transfers and intergenerational mobility
the estimation of intra-household allocation of resources and intrahousehold decisions on labour supply
the evaluation of the impact of public policies on poverty and inequality
