Welcome to my website. I am Associate Professor of Economics at the Department of Political Science of the University of Perugia (Italy) and Research Fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) and at the Economics of Inequality and Poverty Analysis (EQUALITAS). I am also member of the program committee for the the PhD in Development Economics of the University of Florence. I received my PhD in 2010 from the University of Florence and then was Post-Doc Researcher at the Paris School of Economics (France) and Associate Professor at the Department of Economics of the University of The Balearic Islands (Spain).

My research lies at the intersection of labor markets, household behavior, education, and health, with a particular focus children, and adolescents. I study how parental decisions, education policies and programs, and children’s time use shape human capital formation, drawing on household decision models and microeconometric analyses of individual and household level data. My research work has been published in journals such as Labour Economics, Journal of Economic Inequality, Review of Economics of the Household and Economica and it has been financed by international and national institutions such as the UNU-WIDER, the European Commission-TAXUD, the European Parliament, the Institute of Fiscal Studies (Spain), the Ministry of Science and Innovation (Spain) and the Ministry of University and Research (Italy).
