Hi! I am Luca Fontanelli, postdoctoral researcher in Economics at the Department of Law of the University of Brescia under the supervision of Prof. Elena Verdolini.

I am currently involved in the ERC project 2D4D, that is aimed at investigating the relation between digitalization and climate change, the so-called twin transition.

I earned a joint PhD in Economics at University of Côte d'Azur in Nice (France) and Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pise (Italy) in 2022. During my doctoral studies, I worked under the supervision of Mauro Napoletano and Giovanni Dosi.

Before joining the University of Brescia, I worked as an intern and as a consultant at the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) department of the OECD in Paris (France), where I was part of the AI Diffuse team.

The main focus of my research relates to firm and industry dynamics, digitalisation and climate change. I predominantly work with theoretical models of firm dynamics and firm-level micro-data.
