Hi! I am Luca Fontanelli, Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Applied Economics at the Department of Law of the University of Brescia, and Affiliated Scientist at the RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economics and the Environment (EIEE).

My research lies at the intersection of innovation and firm dynamics, with a particular focus on the firm-level use of Artificial Intelligence and other digital technologies, such as cloud computing and 3D printing, and on their implications for firms and workers. My work spans both empirical analysis, based on firm-level micro-data, and theoretical modelling of firm dynamics and market selection. 

At the University of Brescia, I teach Principles of Economics and Economics of Innovation.
