Each person will recieve 1 ticket. One ticket will get you 2 slices of pizza, 1 cookie, and 1 drink. Tickets will be distributed at the door.

5th Graders

NatureBridge Yosemite Trip

This is what the 5th graders have been looking forward to all year! From the Harvest Fest to the Pasta Fling, they have worked so hard to raise funds. Their Yosemite trip will be on May 17-19, 2023. Thank you all for supporting them.

5th Spring Fling Spaghetti Fundraiser 

One of the 5th graders biggest fundraising event is coming up. This year's 5th Grade Spring Pasta Fling will happen on April 20, 2023, with two sessions to choose from, 5:30 or 6:30 pm.

100% of the proceeds will go towards their Yosemite Field Trip in May.

Here's the volunteer sign up sheet. Spots are going fast. Let's help these 5th graders have a smooth and successful evening.

South Lake Tahoe Science Expo

Brought to you by UC Davis  Tahoe Environmental Research Center, this year's theme is Life and Health Science!  Activities will focus on organisms and ecosystems, inheritance and adaptation, and health and nutrition.

This will be held at South Tahoe High School.

2023 UC Davis Science Expo! This year's Science Expo will be held April 17-21 at South Tahoe High School.

Read-A-Thon Begins

Welcome to Our Fun and Exciting Read-a-Thon. The Read-a-Thon fosters positive reading habits, promotes literacy, and financially supports our school. This year the Read-a-Thon will support classroom libraries, field trips, assemblies, family nights and events, school kindness activities, teacher appreciation, and much, much more.

Family and Friendship Dance

Put on your dancing shoes and join us for this year's Family and Friendship Dance! Enjoy a night of dancing with your friends and family to a live DJ. A photobooth will also be available to capture the night. Pizza, drinks, and cookies are available for purchase. Please bring cash, especially small bills. This is an evening to create memories with your family and friends and not a kids drop off event.

PTA Holiday helpers will be delivering hot cocoa and candy canes to each classroom Friday 12/23 after school lunches. For about 1.5 hours, volunteers will be helping in pouring cocoa, adding toppings and serving to the students in each class and clean up.

Read-a-Thon

What is the LTESMS Read-a-Thon?

Participants will focus on their reading skills, love for reading and participate for chances to win grade level and school-wide prizes. Participants will also have the opportunity to dress up as their favorite book character at school. 

How do I get pledges?

Ask friends and family! Share our school donation link and donate with Credit Card or Pay Pal! https://app.99pledges.com/fund/ltesmsreadathon OR pick up a pledge form and donation envelope in the front office of the school.

What is our goals?

To make sure ALL students finish the event with a strong desire TO READ EVERY DAY and engage in building a positive school community. This means we want our school to read 51,000 minutes (20 minutes per student per day) for our Read-a-Thon. 

To help LTESMS raise funds to support NEW BOOK SERIES FOR OUR BOOK ROOM AND FUNDS TO UPDATE ALL CLASSROOM LIBRARIES. The chapter book section of our room will be updated and expanded in order to ensure enough copies for group book studies and a variety of independent reading choices for students. Teachers will also be able to add new reading opportunities for students by building up and refreshing their own classroom libraries.  With your help, every student will benefit! 

Our monetary goal is $10,000!  If every student raises $28, we will reach this goal!

If we reach these goals, our students will have the opportunity to earn:

Grade Level Prizes:

• The class with the most minutes read from each grade will receive a new book & a small book party

School-Wide Grand Prize:

• Earn a Schoolwide "No Homework” Week

• Earn a Lunch Party for Every Grade Level

• Earn a Double Recess Friday

1st Virtual Move-a-Thon

We're excited to announce our first virtual event of the year ... a Move-a-Thon! We hope to bring the school community together for a week of fun and fitness! 

What is the LTESMS Move-a-Thon?

Participants earn money by exercising, logging minutes moved, and gathering pledges. Participants get pledges from family, friends, neighbors, and businesses to support their efforts. Donors can make a flat donation.

How do I get pledges?

Your student’s 99Pledges account will be activated on Friday, October 23rd. You should receive an email from 99Pledges with a link directly to your student’s donation page. If you don’t receive your student’s email on Friday, please contact us at ltesms.pta.ltusd@gmail.com. 

What are our goals?

GOAL #1: To make sure ALL students finish the event with a strong desire TO EXERCISE EVERY DAY and engage in building a positive and healthy school community. This means we want our school to move 73,080 minutes (30 minutes per student per day) for our Move-a-Thon.

GOAL #2: To help LTESMS raise funds to support CLASSROOM SUPPLIES, YEARBOOKS, AND BUILD SCHOOL COMMUNITY. Every classroom has had to adapt to remote learning creating the need for additional and unexpected supplies to ensure ALL students succeed both in the classroom and at home. During this time it is also important to maintain some traditions like our kindness week, staff appreciation, and Earth week. Our monetary goal is $10,000!  If every student raises $29, we will reach this goal! 

If the daily minute goal is reached, our students will have the opportunity to earn:

Individual Prizes:

• One Prize per Grade Level

School-Wide Grand Prize:

• Earn a “Free Homework” Pass

10/23 - 11/6: Collect Pledges from Family, Friends, Neighbors, and Businesses

10/26: Move-a-Thon Begins … Start Logging Your Minutes

10/26 – 11/1: Log Your Minutes Moved Everyday

11/2: Final Exercise Log Due at School (Cohort A)

11/5: Final Exercise Log Due at School (Cohort B)

11/6: Final Day to Collect Pledges through 99Pledges

11/9: Prize Winners Announced
