Middle School Camp - Encounter Mix

What is Mix?

Held on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University, Mix is a four-day (Plus one day of travel so 5 days) conference designed specifically for 6th - 8th grade students (So current 2022-2023 5th, 6th, 7th graders) with incredible speakers, worship, and fun that all mix together to make an unforgettable spiritual experience with Jesus and all our friends. Alongside their friends and adult leader, students experience both large group gatherings and time with their small groups in order to help them take next steps in their faith.

Students can also expect dodge-ball tournaments, wacky games, an afternoon at a waterpark, and all kinds of other fun throughout the week.

This trip will have limited spots and registrations will be a on a first-come, first-serve basis. This trip may sell out so we encourage families to not delay in registering their students.

Registration and Deposits:

Scholarships

We do not want finances to stand in the way of a student attending these life transforming events! That is why we offer scholarships. We do ask families to cover as much as they can afford and avoid using a scholarship to simply reduce the cost when they can afford the trip. This ensures as many students as possible have the opportunity to attend who otherwise would not.

If you would like to register but need financial assistance or if you would like additional information about scholarships please connect with Andrew@lebanonpresbyterian.org

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellation made prior to 60 days before the event will receive a full refund. Any cancellation made less than 60 days prior to the start of the event will forfeit their original deposit, but receive a refund of any additional amounts already paid if Encounter LPC is able to fill this registration spot with another registrant.  Cancellations must be made through contacting Andrew, and individuals should obtain a confirmation of cancellation to receive any refund.

Parent FAQ’s

What kind of supervision will there be on the trip?

We take adult leaders who have been thoroughly vetted and completed background checks. Most leaders are those who have mentored the students throughout the year. Ratios are generally around a 1:7 ratio.

How do you keep track of each student?

Students are assigned to a room and group with a leader who is responsible for them. Attendance is accounted for every time the group goes to a worship session or activity. The vast majority of the time, students are with the group and leaders.

What type of transportation do you use?

We use the church bus or rent vans from bus rental companies.

How do you determine rooming assignments?

Housing at Indiana Wesleyan is generally 2 students per dorm room (more if we are assigned suites). After we determine the group we will allow students to help decide who will share a room Our goal is for every student to be in a room with at least one friend.

What do students need to bring on the trip?

Once registered, the trip coordinator will send you detailed information as the trip gets closer, including any packing instructions.

What if I have additional questions?

Feel free to reach out to us at Andrew@lebanonpresbyterian.org We would be happy to answer all your questions.
