From time to time I pull this bad boy out for relevant special occasions - like the class reunion! But these days I hesitate before putting it on. I have been successful in removing it from my finger in years past, but nowadays when putting it on I get this heightened sense of anxiety. As I push the ring down my right ring finger, it glides easily over the distal phalange and distal interphalangeal joint but as it moves up the intermediate phalange it comes to a relatively abrupt halt at the proximal interphalangeal joint (physiology anyone?) At this point I have a decision to make - do I press on to victory knowing I have an ordeal ahead to reckon with when it's time to come off or do I quit while I'm ahead?
Well after all is said and done, I just want to show off my bad-ass ring. I'll deal with the lotion and the red finger later on.
Do any of you guys fall into one of these categories?
Ring around your neck on a chain
Ring hit the garbage disposal - wounded but still kicking
Ring down the drain, in the bay/lake/ocean and gone forever
Ring fits just like the first day you put it on
