I hope you are all well! We are staying inside for the most part now although we have enjoyed some short walks and the beaches where people are still very far apart. Today I think I ate my weight in donuts and doritos while being cooped up inside. I have a loving right now roundup featuring some new beauty splurges. Would love to hear about what you are loving right now too!

Last but not least I finally ordered the two Pillow Talk Beauty Light Wands and think they are INCREDIBLE! I love Pillow Talk light for the lighter rose pink tinge and Pillow Talk Medium is more of a bronzey color on me but still very wearable. I think both are absolute musts. I added swatches of the other Beauty Light Wands in Spotlight (REVIEW), Peachgasm and Pinkgasm (REVIEW) for reference.

Miles Beckler on YouTube: Someone in Content Creators shared a YouTube tutorial from Miles (think it was on mapping out a course or product). His content is super helpful (training for entrepreneurs: FB ads, keyword research, split testing, etc.). I really like his style and teaching.

Side note: this is the power of Medium ? the quality of the content is GOOD! And for all you writers out there, remember that Medium is THE platform for readers.

One thing that I feel really passionately about is that everyone, from the CEO, through leadership, through to the newest intern, owns and can have a really positive (and negative) impact on culture. So, before you write this post off thinking that culture is just a topic for HR, think again!

Nothing is more challenging for a startup that is, all at once, trying to find product-market fit, keep new customers happy, not go broke, balance investor demands (the list goes on), than also focusing on building the best team and company culture. But, it is at this scaling point, that getting the culture right is absolutely critical because a company with a great product might do well for a while, but a great product and a great company culture will set it apart from the pack.

You can find nearly all of my favorite makeup products in my Amazon storefront here. I know many of you like to do all of your shopping in one place. I am working on my other favorites as well. Of course I earn a small commission when you purchase through these links, with no extra cost to you. I appreciate your support so that I can continue to bring you good content.

I have been researching foundations and have heard very good things about the Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation  (25%off on their website right now) and the Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue. I think in my case the first might be the best option according to what I have read with my issues. I still have combination skin and will get the occasional pimple even at 67 yikes!! Would love to hear your thoughts if you are fans of either one.

I do absolutely love the Chanel Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue (their long-wearing lip color). I like the strawberry/red and the bright raspberry. Sandra Sallin has a couple of tutorials on lipstick and she knows her stuff. She is over 70! You might enjoy her youtube tutorial on how to keep lipstick from running here. Sandra and I did a live awhile back and I tried a few new lip colors. The Chanel is still far and away my favorite. It is pricey but worth it in my book. I know many of you are fans as well.

A new product that I am loving (recommended to me by Mary Ann of Classic Casual Home )is the Sunday Riley C.E.O Glow Drops. I have never been able to put oil on my face without breaking out. This is a first. A couple drops under foundation gives just a bit of glow. Love this stuff and the smell!

Another product that I am in love with is the Milk Makeup Lip and Cheek Tint in Pure Red. I love the color and it stays on! You can read my post on The best blush for Mature Skin and How to Apply it here. I have tried all of the ones on my list and this is my very favorite. The coral color is nice as well. I think I need to try it too.

I am still on the look out for the perfect bronzer. I used an inexpensive loreal eye shadow for years (yep you heard me), and it honestly worked very well before there were better products out there. You can read my post what to look for in bronzers for mature skin here. I have been using the bare minerals version (I like their products) but am not totally sold. Many of you (including my dear friend the Contessa) said in the comments of that post that you are using the Guerlain Terra Cotta and have been for years.

Kerry Lou of Silver Style Studio has a series where she is applying makeup to mature women, and how to apply eye makeup on hooded eyes. I wish I lived near her. I would love to take some classes from her. Angie from Hot and Flashy has some good eye makeup tutorials on Youtube as wel _query=angie+hot+and+flashy+eyesl. I have to say I enjoy the tutorials most that are actually performed on mature women. Please share any that you have enjoyed.

When I do not wish to wear makeup and go into the sun, I use the fabulous Love Sun Body Glow Natural Daily Tinted Mineral Face Sunscreen & Moisturizer in Copper. All natural and certified by Birdie and other natural and reef safe reviewers. Lasts me about 60 minutes when in the water and snorkeling. Beautiful glow and when combined with a little blush, gives a makeup effect. Goodness knows we need to look good while swimming and exposed to the harsh elements. Just love this although will make the skin glow.

Still searching for the perfect cream eye colors as I find we need for our aging eyes and for moisture. Perhaps you can share some secrets or experiment then post results. Sure wish another makeup session secrets on Instagram with Sandra can be held in the future. Also like I learned new shadow brushes to experiment with. The flat ones make sense. Will go out and find the best to suit my budget.

It sounds like we are birds of a feather. I am going to have to try some of your suggestions. The only lip color that has ever worked for me is the Chanel I really want to try the Georgio Armani but they do not have it here anywhere and I am afraid to buy online. I am filing all of your suggestions. Our coloring must be very similar. I just adore the milk blush. I have trouble with most not being colorful enough either!

As older I get I use soft make up to hide wrinkles. Les Beiges Foundation from Chanel, Huda matte liquid lip in color professional and a beige eye shadow, Mascara since decades from Lancome definiciles which divided the lashes very well. No blusher, no glow, highlighter , bronzer etc. because my skin is well perfused when I go into a room or outside.

I need to look at the Look Fabulous Forever brand again. I hated that they did not allow reviews unless they approved them. That made me wonder about the line. Maybe they are no longer doing that. I love the premise of the company and I love a powder cream. I absolutely love the milk blush but I will check out some of the other products you have mentioned.

I love makeup and always have. At 61, I find that the powdered blushes and countour are less forgiving on my mature skin and I am interested in transitioning to cream blush and bronzers. I am a fair skinned redhead and I adore the LUNA airbrush foundation. It is an Ireland brand and the color match and coverage is superb. I swear by the Smashbox Photo Finish smooth primer, it is a must have as the first step before applying under eye concealer. Lorac offers stunning eye shadow pallets in richly pigmented colors. I will try the Channel lipstick. Thank you ever so much for all the great information.

I totally agree about the powder blushes. Not good as a rule for women our ag. I have not heard of Luna. I must look into it. I tried the smashbox primer for awhile. I like Lisa Bayne have taken a simpler route since covid. I have given up the primer. I forget about Lorac. Thanks for all the tips! More to explore!!

I love Trish McEvoy Eye Brightener Pencil in Shell. It is great for lightening the inner corner of your eye, highlighting browbone and anywhere else. It offers more control for tight places than a cream highlighter.

That is exactly what I am using currently I will check out your color selection. I have so many fine (or not so fine) lines around my lips now the Chanel seems to be the only thing that works for me! Thanks for sharing your successes. We all benefit from sharing!

I do use a brush or a sponge. Thanks to the wonderful suggestions of Kerry Lou! The Lancome was not my personal favorite. I like Chanel better for my issues! I do think sometimes the drug store products are best! All great suggestions. Thank you so much!

My 69-year-old combination skin devours makeup! When I do full face makeup I use Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer. It makes my makeup last much longer. For blusher I use Benefit Cosmetics Benetint Rose Lip & Cheek tint. It works equally well on bare skin for no makup days or with foundation. Takes a bit of trial and error, but once you figure out how much to apply it lasts all day which is amazing with my combination skin and our midwest humidity. 152ee80cbc
