Dear Friends,
We are recruiting volunteers!! This coming 23rd April, we are embarking on a mission to build and construct toilets, multiple purpose courts (TBC) & water tanks (TBC) for schools in the rural villages of Pangasinan, Philippines; where hygiene, safe venues for children to learn and play and clean water sources are the usual problem. The 1st village we have identified is Barangay Lawak Langka
Currently the children are studying in a classroom where a toilet (just a hole without flushing or sewage system) and sick bay are within the same classroom. This isn't a conducive or hygienic environment for the learning. We will be building boys and girls toilets outside the classroom while sealing up those within it.
Also exploring the possibility of building a multiple purpose court where the children can learn, exercise and play on a safe platform where there won't be glasses, nails or rocks hurting their feet.
During dry season, the existing water tanks will dry up and thus unable to provide clean water to the school. Therefore, building of water tanks are also one facilities we are striving to construct. At the same time, we will also be distributing grocery packs and donated clothes to the families.

Here's the list of facilities we are striving to raise the fund for in the order of priority
1 Boys and Girls toilet + sealing of toilets within the classroom
1 Multi purpose court
1 Water Tank
Each grocery pack includes S$50 worth of dry food items such as rice, cooking oil, instant noodle etc, which can last them for about 3 months. We estimated about 500 families in the village.
