Jerry is a dog who left a lasting impression on his owner, Denise, as well as other people and canine friends from their pet boarding, “playcare” and grooming business.

Jerry's early years are unknown. He was found roaming the streets of Red Oak, Iowa and taken to the local animal rescue. Denise, Jerry's mom, is an avid supporter of the local rescue group as well as many others. She volunteered to board Jerry while the rescue learned more about him and tried to find his owners. During this process, it was discovered that Jerry had a blood clotting disorder and would need special care. It was also during this time that Denise absolutely fell in love with Jerry and decided to be his furever mom.

Jerry took on his new role at Corn Dawgs Boarding very serious. He provided his mom with tons of love and laughs. He would happily greet all visitors, canine and human, and assist them in getting comfortable if new. Jerry became the favorite playmate for just about all dogs boarding or attending doggy playcare.

After much consideration and research on best possible provider due to Jerry's condition, it was decided that Jerry needed a medical procedure. However, even after the highest precautions and care during and after the procedure, Jerry passed before he could go home again.
