Fastpitch Softball TEAM
Lady Sluggers - Bond
Sluggers - Bond is currently a 16U competitive fast-pitch softball team based in Blue Springs, Missouri. The team is made up of girls from Jackson, Cass, Benton, and Lafayette counties on the Missouri side and Leavenworth and Johnson county on the Kansas side. Coached by Missy Bond and assisted by Suzie Muenz and Kip Dotterer, this talented group of young girls are hardworking, scholar athletes, with great attitudes that hope to make it at the high school and collegiate levels.
Coach Missy Bond
In 2008, Coach Bond began fastpitch pitching lessons and competitive team coaching. She is now the owner of Diamondcat Fastpitch and head coach of the Louisville Lady Sluggers - KC 16 Gold.
"I believe in teaching life skills through the sport of softball. Respect, accountability, gratitude, and health are at the top of my list."
Coach Bond played her softball career in Kansas City travel ball, Lee's Summit High School, and the University of Kansas. She now lives in Grain Valley, Missouri and when not coaching, she enjoys music, camping, and animals.

Coach Kip Dotterer
Coach Dotterer played most of his baseball career in Wichita, KS where he grew up. He played baseball for Newman University and was lucky enough to play for the most winningest coach in their college history who went on to coach for the Milwaukee Brewers organization. After college, he joined a Men’s Competitive Fastpitch team, where he pitched and played outfield. He played up until 2006/2007, after which, he retired from playing to start coaching. He coached a Mac N Seitz travel baseball team from 2011-2017, while assisting as a coach for his daughter’s competitive softball team. He has been a hitting coach for baseball and softball since 2011. He was interim head coach 2018-2019 for an Advanced Fastpitch Academy softball team and is now assistant coach to the Louisville Lady Sluggers-KC 16 Gold team.
I believe sports teaches a lot of life skills and disciplines that will carry over. I think Coach Wooden said it best “Sports do not build character. They reveal it.” I feel honored to have coached some tremendous athletes and outstanding kids.
When he is not coaching or watching his kids compete, he loves spending time at the lake.
