Mrs. Nelson's personal profile info

I graduated from Regis University in Denver in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in nursing. My background includes medical/surgical nursing at the VA medical center and Health One facilities, public health in rural Colorado, and School Nursing. I am a certified CPR instructor. But most of all, I love working with students, teaching about health, and making a difference in their lives. I am married with two adult children, who are both in college. I enjoy hiking and skiing in the mountains, as I love the outdoors. Cooking, baking and traveling are enjoyed hobbies. I am currently working toward my masters degree in nursing education. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your students education and the Lotus community. Please utilize my wealth of knowledge and availability of resources.

Ms. Carolyn's personal profile info

The majority of my career has been in the medical field. I have worked at the VA Medical Center, Rose Medical Center, Mount Airy Psychiatric Center, the University of Colorado Hospital, and the Medical Center of Aurora. Five years ago I made the decision to go back to school and become a Medical Assistant. After receiving my M.A. Diploma, I worked at an urgent care center and a private pain specialist practice. I came to Lotus School for Excellence in January of 2016. My main role as the Elementary Health Aide is to administer doctor approved medications to the students, treat student injuries, see students not feeling well, and to help students in emergency health situations. It is my honor and privilege to give our students the best care possible while they are at school.
