R & Statistics Consultation

I specialise in teaching statistics and R (R Studio) to people with little experience with statistics or programming, and/or a general fear of quantitative methods. This comes from 7 years teaching research methods and statistics to BSc and MSc Speech & Language Therapy students, and students completing conversion MSc programmes (i.e. from various backgrounds in humanities and social sciences into psychology and empirical research).

I have been teaching statistics for Undergraduate and Post-graduate students since 2010, and I regularly advise students and colleagues. With the support of the British Academy I switched to using the open-source statistical software R in 2014, which made me a better scientist and a better statistician. I have expertise in the fundamentals of best practice (for frequentist approaches / Null Hypothesis Significance Testing), data tidying and data wrangling, selecting appropriate analyses and linear mixed-effect models.

I have run various workshops for learning R and mixed-effect models (see below). If you are interested in tuition or a workshop, please get in touch.

Costs are £79 p/h, negotiable depending on need and group size.
