INT. MOVIE THEATER, LALTERNATE REALITY
The camera pans down a long, dimly lit hallway. USHER steps forward cautiously. He holds a glitching crimson ticket in his gloved hand. He stares at a movie poster on the wall.
THE VOICE
(creeping, distant)
Do you hesitate?
USHER stays silent. Slowly, hands begin crawling out of the poster, wriggling across the surface as if alive. He freezes, noticing a tape dangling from one of the hands.
THE VOICE
(quiet, amused)
What a plot twist. Every single time.
USHER takes the tape. The hands let go, but they don't want to. They're yanked back into the poster, grasping the air and clawing at the surface as they disappear.
Spotlight flickers, illuminating the empty seats.
THE VOICE
(loud, inviting)
Take a seat. Watch what you've done.
The countdown begins. USHER looks at the wide glowing screen and holds his breath,
while his chest tightens with anticipation of what is about to come.
