Why lose weight?

Losing weight is important because being overweight increases your risk of health conditions such as heart problems, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and certain types of cancer. Being overweight can also increase your risk for osteoarthritis, sleep apnea or other respiratory problems. Being overweight may also affect person's self esteem and interpersonal relationships.

Diet

When talking about diet it is ideal to lose weight without feeling hungry. Feeling hungry will make you give up on the diet quickly.

One way not to feel hungry and still lose weight is to start watching how many calories you eat. Calories provide energy to your body. When you take more calories than you need, your body stores extra calories as body fat. Nutrition labels can provide you with the information of how many calories the food you are eating has. The amount calories that each person needs is 2000-2500 per day.

Make decision not to eat late at night. Do not eat after 6pm. Your metabolism is much slower during the night and burns calories much slower.

Exercise

I know that exercising is hard, but exercise helps you burn extra calories. The exercises you should focus on, so called, cardio exercises. Those are walking, swimming, cycling, jogging and similar.

Set small goals for yourself initially. Every week increase those goals. Make sure that you finish every training with success and satisfaction. That will motivate you to keep going. The most important thing to remember when exercising is that you need to do it every day.
