This is what happens with fad diets and crash diets. When you significantly reduce the number of calories you are taking in, your body goes into starvation mode, slowing down your metabolism. This makes it harder for you to lose weight even with the restricted diet.
You get frustrated with the weight not coming off and stop the diet, start eating normally again and then start putting more weight back on, even if you are eating the same amount of food that you ate previously.

Exercise-You need to get your body moving, so any attempt to lose belly fat fast has to be based around a solid, well-rounded exercise program. Exercise will be composed of both aerobic activity and resistance training.
And you need to do BOTH. Many women have a problem with this. Most women will just do the aerobics thinking that this will help me lose weight.
That's not the way it works!
Sorry to tell you this but strength training is vital to losing weight and lose belly fat fast. It allows you to burn more calories after a workout and my adding muscle you are turning your body into a better fat-burning machine. Just doing cardio exercises and hoping to lose weight is an exercise in futility.
If you do strength training exercises at 12-15 repetitions per set you will tone your muscles. It is only when you use heavier weights and 8-10 reps per set that you gain bulk.
So the only way to lose belly fat fast is to combine the resistance training and the aerobics. Here are a few ideas:
Set a goal to work out 6 days a week. On alternating days, say Monday, Wednesday and Friday, you will perform aerobic exercises. I have several to choose from here.
