Welcome to Los Abedules, a charming two-bedroom townhouse which has been in our family for over 30 years. Ideally located in Mojácar Playa, this inviting retreat is just 300 metres from the sunny sands of El Cantal Beach, offering the perfect blend of beachside relaxation and modern convenience.

In just a 10-minute stroll, you'll discover a vibrant array of options to suit everyone. Take your pick from local shops, pharmacies, tobaconnists, a diverse selection of bars from hyperlocal to high-end, delightful eateries, authentic tapas spots, beachfront chiringuitos, ice-cream parlours, soothing massage services, late-night bars and nightclubs, and a mini-golf course. There's also the local Pueblo Indalo hotel complex, which offers nightly shows for both adults and children during holiday seasons, as well tennis courts, large pools, and a bowling alley!

If you're seeking a little more adventure, it's not much further to go to play a round of golf or try parasailing, kayaking, or snorkelling excursions in Mojácar Playa. The recently created esplanade runs the length of Mojácar Playa, and is perfect for morning jogs or a leisurely, sunny stroll. If you want to get around quicker, consider hiring a local bike, scooter, or mobility scooter. There's plenty to see and do, no matter how far you go. So much to explore!

Just outside of Mojácar Playa, there is even more to explore. Visit traditional outdoor markets and seek out the famed Moorish architecture of Mojácar Pueblo – a "fairytale hillside town" regularly featured and awarded for its beauty. A short bus ride away, in the nearby fishing town of Garrucha, you'll find not just exceptional, locally caught seafood, but exciting activities such as go-karting and paintballing.

Just a short drive away, you’ll find a range of exciting attractions. Enjoy a fun-filled family day at AquaVera Parque Acuático, an aquatic theme park in Vera (20 minutes by car). Seek out the Oasys MiniHollywood Wild West theme park where you can experience the set of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly and many other westerns and watch cowboys duke it out with pistols and show off their horsemanship through the town (one hour by car). Alternatively, spend a day surrounded by nature in Cabo de Gata Natural Park, the largest protected coastal area in Andalusia, where you can choose from multiple hiking routes, enjoy guided tours, find authentic bars and restaurants, or explore the crystal waters by snorkelling, kayaking, or canoeing. Keep an eye out for flamingos!

Getting here

It's not difficult to get to Mojácar by plane. Several UK airports serve: Almería Airport, Murcía Airport, and Alicante Airport and return trips can be found for just £100. The cheapest return flights we've found are from London Gatwick for under £50!

While you could rent a car on arrival, there's a direct shuttle service from each airport that will make arrival a breeze! Airport transfers drop off close to the townhouse, making it a hassle-free journey – Ideal for families, couples, and older travellers, our location is perfect whether you're hiring a car or using public transport to explore the Costa de Almería.
