I Love to Party, but what is it I'm supporting here?
I won't be surprised if you're asking yourself this question right now! So, let me tell you. A few years ago a customer of mine who works for Greystar Development in Texas mentioned that they are huge supporters of the Texas MS 150. The Texas MS 150 is the largest MS Society charity bike ride in the country. Thousands of participants ride their bikes over 150 miles over the course of two days, starting in Houston or Austin, overnighting in La Grange, and ending in College Station. As an avid cyclist, I decided to put my body on the line for this important customer, but I had no idea how important this ride and the National MS Society would become to me.
The first year I joined Team Greystar, I raised the bare minimum. But within minutes of starting the ride I was overtaken by the experience, seeing riders with MS on the course, watching the people in small towns come out to cheer us on, and seeing the incredible amount of money raised for the cause. I immediately became dedicated to becoming a top fundraiser. I started hosting this fundraiser in 2019, and since then this annual event has helped raise over $65,000 for The National MS Society, placing me in the top 300 fundraisers for the last 5 years running.
Since that first ride, I have learned so much more about MS, how it affects my friends and loved ones who have it or support people with it. I have met even more people who need the care and support of the National MS Society along the way as well. This is a disease that truly touches all of us, one way or another. Help me support people living with MS, those who love someone with MS, and perhaps help us find a cure!
Thank you to all my 2026 event sponsors!
