Hi! My name is Lorenzo Stefanello. I earned my PhD in Mathematics from the Università di Pisa, with the dissertation Hopf–Galois Structures, Skew Braces, and Their Connection. My supervisors were Prof. Ilaria Del Corso and Dr. Paul J. Truman.
During my PhD, my research lay at the intersection of abstract algebra and number theory. More recently, I have become interested in gambling mathematics, a topic that has long fascinated me, and I have posted a preprint on the subject with Stewart N. Ethier. I had the incredible opportunity to present this work at the 19th International Conference on Gambling & Risk Taking in Las Vegas. Here you can find the slides of the talk.
My email is stefanello (dot) gm (at) gmail (dot) com. Feel free to contact me for any inquiries; I am always happy to discuss Mathematics.
