Lordi Napalm Market: The Lost Demo of the Finnish Monster Band

Lordi is a Finnish hard rock and heavy metal band that is known for its monstrous costumes, theatrical stage shows, and catchy songs. The band rose to international fame in 2006 when they won the Eurovision Song Contest with their song "Hard Rock Hallelujah". But before they became the kings of monster rock, Lordi had humble beginnings as a solo project of Tomi Putaansuu, aka Mr. Lordi, who started making music in his home studio in 1992.

One of the earliest and most obscure recordings of Lordi is a demo tape called Napalm Market, which was made in 1993. According to Mr. Lordi, he created this demo alone when he was still going to school, using a four-track recorder and a drum machine. He played bass, guitar, keyboards, and vocals, and wrote all the songs and lyrics. He also designed the cover art, which featured a drawing of a monster with a chainsaw and a burning city in the background.
