Looping Mainz
A workshop on motivic loop spaces
Looping Mainz
A workshop on motivic loop spaces
The goal of the workshop is to bring together a small group of researchers for a week of discussions about motivic and equivariant loop spaces, in a house in the region of Mainz. We hope that the workshop will lead to new collaborations and help identify interesting directions for future joint work.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own questions, ideas, and projects. Possible topics include:
computations of the homology or cohomology of motivic loop spaces;
recognition principles for n–fold P^1-loop spaces;
suitable notions of non-commutative or E_n–algebras in motivic and equivariant settings;
any related project you might suggest, motivic or non-motivic!
The workshop itself will take place from Monday, 5th October 2026, to Friday noon, 9th October 2026. Participants are expected to arrive on Sunday, 4th October 2026, in the evening. All participants will be lodged together in a self-catered house somewhere around Mainz.
The first day will be used to introduce the main topics and proposed projects, with some talks by participants. The remaining four days will be devoted to working in small groups. Each day will have two working sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
Please fill in this form before the 31st of July.
