Hi! I’m Lon Grundy (not Ron or Lou...but I’ll let Juan Grande slide on occasion).
I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, where you would often find me at the local golf course -- either scrubbing clubs and dodging golf balls in the range picker or with a golf bag strapped to my back hunting for birdies. Little did I know that my love of the sport would lead to a career, first as a golf professional at Camelback Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, to a General Manager at Troon Golf and eventually as Executive Director for Hilton’s golf operations at PGA West, The Citrus Club and LaQuinta Resort in Palm Springs, California. I returned to my southern roots with a move to Georgia to manage Reynolds Lake Oconee before an exciting relocation to Florida in 2018 with my wife, Kim, and our two boys, Ethan and Hayden, who are enjoying life at the beach. My wife is working on her second novel while my boys are working on their second helping of whatever is on the table!
Fun facts:
My mantra: Let things unfold organically
My workout: Plank regularly for a strong core and calloused elbows
My cure-all: Chips & salsa with a good marg
My movie fix: Tin Cup and Something About Mary. I can quote every line!
My ideal day: Beach time with the family and Bob Marley turned up high
