I hold a PhD from Ined (French Institute for Demographic Studies, Paris) and University of Montpellier, supervized by Alexandra Alvergne and Marion Leturcq.
I am working on the interrelations between family and women's autonomy in a cross-cultural perspective. My ongoing projects evaluate the effects of women's wealth ownership within the household on their well-being and their children in diverse contexts (matrilineal societies in India, French women in last decades).
I am also interested in kinship systems among humans. I draw on anthropological litterature to appreciate its diversity (female cooperation for child rearing, the different meanings of paternity across societies), and on evolutionary theories to understand regular patterns.
