LogsOff — Block Apps & Notifications

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how LogsOff ("we", "us", or "the app") handles your information. LogsOff is a digital wellbeing tool that helps you block distracting apps and notifications, schedule focus routines, lock apps, and store private media in a secure vault. We built LogsOff to be privacy-first: the vast majority of your data never leaves your device.

Information Stored On Your Device

The following data is created and stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to it and it is never uploaded to our servers:

Your list of blocked and locked apps
Focus schedules and routines you create
App settings and preferences (timer length, strict mode, haptics)
Media (photos and videos) you import into the Vault, which is encrypted and stored in the app's private storage
Your PIN and biometric preferences (the PIN is stored using secure, OS-level encrypted storage and is never transmitted)
Focus session history and streak statistics

Permissions We Request and Why

To provide its core features, LogsOff requests certain Android permissions. Each is used solely for the stated purpose:

Accessibility Service: used only to detect which app is currently in the foreground so we can show a lock screen for apps you have chosen to lock. We do not read, collect, log, or transmit screen content, keystrokes, or any personal information through this service.
Notification Listener: used only to dismiss notifications from apps you have chosen to block during a focus session. Notification content is processed on-device and is never stored or transmitted.
VPN: a local, on-device VPN is used to block internet access for selected apps during focus sessions. It does not route your traffic through any external server, and we do not inspect, log, or collect your browsing data.
Media access (Photos/Videos): used only when you choose to import media into the Vault.
Exact Alarms & Boot Completed: used to start your scheduled focus routines at the times you set, including after a device restart.
Biometric/Fingerprint: used only to unlock the app or Vault.
Query All Packages: used to display the list of installed apps so you can choose which ones to block or lock.

Third-Party Services

We use a limited number of reputable third-party services:

Google AdMob: we may display ads. AdMob may collect a device advertising identifier and limited usage data to serve and measure ads. See Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Google Firebase: used for app configuration (Remote Config) and basic, aggregated diagnostics. This does not identify you personally.

These providers operate under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, browsing history, or the contents of your Vault. We have no account system and do not require you to sign in.

Children's Privacy

LogsOff is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can address it.

Data Security

Vault media is encrypted on your device, and your PIN is held in secure, OS-protected storage. Because most data never leaves your device, the primary safeguard is your device's own security (screen lock, encryption, and biometrics). Please keep your device secure.

Your Choices and Rights

You are in control of your data:

You can revoke any permission at any time in your device Settings.
You can delete Vault media within the app.
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data, including settings, schedules, and Vault contents.

You may also reset advertising personalization in your device's Google settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice.
