Logo Contest Submission Guidelines for the ERASMUS Plus project titled: FROM OPPRESSION TO FREEDOM - REDISCOVERING EUROPE WITHOUT BORDERS
§ 1 Overview
The purpose of this Logo Contest is to design a logo for the ERASMUS Plus project titled: From Oppression to Freedom - Rediscovering Europe Without Borders. The project will be implemented in six institutions:
● Liceul Tehnologic Edmond Nicolau, Brăila, Romania
● SPGE "John Atanasov", Sofia, Bulgaria
● Vyšší odborná škola zdravotnická, Střední zdravotnická škola a Obchodní akademie, Czech Republic
● Grundtvig Institute Kft., Budapest, Hungary
● Zespol Szkol Technicznych im. Mikolaja Kopernika, Poland
● Cirkevna spojena skola MARIANUM, Ul. biskupa Kiralya 30, Komarno, Slovakia
The logo will be used online, in print, on banners, and on gadgets like T-shirts or folders, etc.
Flexibility is a key requirement, including the need to resize easily and to look good in black and white, grayscale, as well as color.
The final version of the logo will need to be suitable for high-quality printing in large formats as well as in relatively small sizes on the headers of documents.
The Contest is organized by the Project Coordinators from the participating schools, hereafter referred to as the Organizers.
§ 2 Copyrighted Matter
Entrants should take care to ensure that their entries are not in any way similar to existing logos or other copyrighted images. Please respect the copyrights of other artists and create your own design, based on the idea that inspired you.
A signed statement by the participant that the logo design does not include any copyright-protected or royalty-payable material is required.
§ 3 Required Elements
The logo should reference the concept of unity and/or the idea of working together towards a common, positive goal.
Although it is not obligatory, the logo could reference the European Union and/or the words Erasmus, and FREEDOM (in English).
The logo must not contain any abusive text or imagery.
§ 4 Graphic Format
Submissions can be hand-drawn or prepared digitally. Please note: if hand-drawn, the logo must be digitized as only digital entries will be accepted.
High-resolution files are required – the acceptable image file formats are .PNG, .JPG, .JPEG, and .TIFF (resolution of 300 dpi).
If the logo incorporates fonts, the font names should be provided.
§ 5 Deadline for Entries
The logo design and completed entry form must be submitted by 11:00 GMT, Friday, 24th November 2023.
They must be submitted to the person responsible for the competition in each of the participating countries (please contact your school coordinator for more details).
§ 6 Judging will be carried out according to the following criteria:
Originality of the design.
Clarity of the message related to the Project and/or the ERASMUS plus program.
Visual impact.
Reproducibility (on the website and documents).
The competition Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any entry at their sole discretion.
§ 7 Selection of Winners
All entries will be screened; those that comply with the official contest rules and have met the guidelines and specifications will be judged.
The National Organizer will select up to three entries and present them to the Partners.
The Partner Schools can each submit three logo designs.
The Organizers will name the winner during their video conference held between 25th and 30th November 2023.
The Organizers will announce the winner no later than 1st December 2023.
The results of the competition will be announced on the participating schools’ websites on 2nd December 2023, and the winner will be notified.
The decision of the Organizers will be final.
§ 8 Intellectual Property Rights
Any and all intellectual property or other related rights in the logos submitted in this competition will belong to the ERASMUS Plus project titled: FROM OPPRESSION TO FREEDOM - REDISCOVERING EUROPE WITHOUT BORDERS and shall be its sole exclusive property.
The Organizers reserve the right to use the logo in any manner that they see fit.
§ 9 Agreement to Official Rules
By participating in the competition, participants agree to abide by the rules and conditions as established above.
§ 10 Final Remarks
In the event of inconsistency or discrepancy between the English version and any of the other linguistic versions of this document, the English language version shall prevail.
