LEGO Education officially retired the LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 robotics platform in June 2021. LEGO Education SPIKE Prime is the next generation of LEGO robotics for the classroom. It is the go-to STEAM learning tool for grade 6-8 students. Combining colorful LEGO building elements, easy-to-use hardware, and an intuitive drag-and-drop coding language based on Scratch, SPIKE Prime continuously engages students through playful learning activities to think critically and solve complex problems, regardless of their learning level. The SPIKE Prime core set includes a programmable hub, motors, sensors, and a collection of colorful LEGO Technic bricks. These include LEGO elements new to this product, such as 3×3 biscuits, 2×4 bricks with cross axle holes, 7×11 and 11×15 frames, wire clips, and 11×19 panels.
