LOFF Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2025
LOFF ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a browser extension that helps you share URLs between devices using QR codes and 6-digit codes. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Summary: LOFF does not collect personal information. URLs you share are temporarily stored for 2 minutes and then automatically deleted.
WHAT DATA WE COLLECT
When you use LOFF to share a URL, we temporarily store:
• The URL you choose to share
• A generated code to retrieve the URL
• Your IP address (for rate limiting and abuse prevention only)
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
• URLs are stored solely to enable sharing between your devices
• IP addresses are used only to prevent abuse and enforce rate limits
• We do not use your data for advertising, tracking, or profiling
DATA RETENTION
All shared URLs are automatically deleted after 2 minutes. We do not permanently store any URLs or browsing history.
DATA SHARING
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third parties. Your URLs are only accessible via the unique code or QR code generated for you.
LOCAL STORAGE
The extension stores the following data locally on your device:
• Your dark mode preference
• Temporary QR code data (cleared when the code expires)
This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.
SECURITY
We implement security measures including:
• HTTPS encryption for all data transfers
• Rate limiting to prevent abuse
• Automatic expiration of shared URLs
YOUR RIGHTS
Since we only store temporary, non-personal data that auto-deletes, there is no persistent personal data to access or delete. If you have concerns, please contact us.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
