1. Introduction

Lock Files - Any File Locker ("the App") is developed by Carmela. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

2. Information We Collect

The App is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.

Local Data Only:

- PIN/Pattern credentials are stored locally on your device as irreversible SHA-256 hashes

- Encrypted files are stored only on your device's local storage

- All encryption and decryption happens entirely on your device

- Intruder selfie photos (if enabled) are stored only on your device

4. Third-Party Services

Google AdMob:

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob may collect certain data as described in Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). This may include:

- Device information (device model, OS version)

- Advertising ID

- General location data (based on IP address)

- App usage data for ad personalization

5. Permissions

The App requests the following permissions:

- Storage/Media Access: Required to import files into the secure vault

- Camera: Optional, used only for the Intruder Selfie feature when enabled

- Biometric: Optional, used for fingerprint unlock when enabled

- Internet: Used only for displaying advertisements

7. Data Retention

- All encrypted files remain on your device until you delete them

- Trashed files are automatically permanently deleted after 30 days

- Uninstalling the App will remove all encrypted files and settings

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.

10. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your data at all times. You can:

- Delete any or all encrypted files at any time

- Clear all app data through your device's Settings

- Uninstall the App to remove all associated data
