LocaPilot Privacy Policy

LocaPilot is a Chrome browser extension designed to help software testers generate, validate, score, recommend, and copy automation locators for Selenium and Playwright.
Information LocaPilot Handles
When Locator Mode is enabled and the user selects a webpage element, LocaPilot may process information related to that selected element, including:
• HTML tag information
• Element text
• Element ID
• CSS classes
• Name attributes
• data-testid, data-test, and data-qa attributes
• ARIA attributes
• Other DOM information required to generate and validate locators
• Mouse hover and click activity used to select the requested webpage element
How the Information Is Used
LocaPilot uses this information only to:
• Generate locator candidates
• Validate locator uniqueness
• Calculate Locator Health Scores
• Identify potentially unstable or dynamic attributes
• Recommend a suitable automation locator
• Generate Selenium Java locator code
• Generate Playwright Java locator code
Local Processing
LocaPilot MVP 1 performs locator generation, validation, scoring, and recommendation locally within the user's browser.
LocaPilot MVP 1 does not intentionally transmit selected webpage content, DOM information, or user activity to external LocaPilot servers.
Data Storage
LocaPilot MVP 1 does not require a user account and does not store selected webpage content on external servers.
Data Sharing
LocaPilot does not sell user data.
LocaPilot does not transfer user data to third parties for advertising, marketing, creditworthiness, lending, or unrelated purposes.
Limited Use
Any data handled by LocaPilot is used only to provide the extension's stated functionality.
LocaPilot does not use collected information for personalized advertising or unrelated purposes.
Security
LocaPilot is designed to minimize access to webpage information and only operates after the user explicitly activates Locator Mode.
Future Changes
Future versions of LocaPilot may introduce features such as accounts, cloud synchronization, analytics, AI processing, saved locator projects, or team collaboration.
If those features change how user information is processed, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those features are released.
