LocalMind ("we", "our", "the app") is an AI assistant application that runs language models locally on your device. Your privacy is our top priority. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
## On-Device Processing
LocalMind is designed to operate primarily on your device. All AI model inference, conversations, and chat sessions are processed and stored **locally on your device**. Your conversations, prompts, and AI-generated responses are **never sent to our servers** and **never stored externally**.
## Data We Collect
### Data You Voluntarily Provide
- **Feedback & Reports**: If you choose to submit feedback, content reports, or error reports, this information is sent via your email client to our support email. This may include your app version, device model, and operating system version.
- **Benchmark Results**: If you opt in to share benchmark results, your device performance data may be submitted to the public leaderboard hosted on Hugging Face Spaces.
### Data Collected Automatically
- **Advertising Data**: For free-tier users, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data in accordance with [Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy). Premium subscribers do not see ads and this data is not collected for them.
- **Firebase App Check**: We use Firebase App Check to verify the authenticity of app requests. This service may collect device-level information as described in [Firebase's Privacy Policy](https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy).
- **In-App Purchases**: When you make purchases through Google Play, payment processing is handled entirely by Google. We do not collect or store any payment or billing information.

- Your conversations and chat history
- Your AI prompts or model outputs
- Your voice input audio (processed on-device only)
- Your downloaded AI models or their contents
- Your location data
- Your contacts, photos, or personal files
## Permissions
The app requests the following device permissions:
- **Internet**: Required for downloading AI models, displaying ads, and submitting voluntary feedback.
- **Network State**: To check connectivity before downloading models.
- **Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO)**: Used for the voice input feature. Audio is processed on-device and is never transmitted or stored externally.
- **Camera**: Used for optional camera-related features within the app.
- **Vibrate**: Used for haptic feedback.
- **Storage (Android 9 and below only)**: Used for saving chat session exports to your device.

- Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

## Children's Privacy
LocalMind is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
## Your Rights
You have the right to:
- **Delete your data**: All data is stored on your device. You can clear app data or uninstall the app at any time.
- **Opt out of ads**: Subscribe to the premium plan to remove all advertising and associated data collection.
- **Opt out of benchmarks**: Benchmark sharing is entirely voluntary and opt-in.
- **Control permissions**: You can revoke any app permission through your device settings at any time.
